Mount Meru is situated overlooking the town of Arusha.  This large active volcanic mountain is 4566m above sea level.  It is an ideal mountain to do a short 3–4 day trek if you are limited for time, or alternatively an ideal mountain to climb to help with aclimitisation before attempting to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.  This mountain offers stunning views overlooking the town and the african plains.  The unique feature of this mountain is the one side has subsided from it’s last volcanic eruption.  It has exceptional bird and animal life and is the perfect short trek!
