 PARK RULES and REGULATIONS:
These rules and regulations are established to protect the wildlife and the surroundings.

  • Do not exceed the speed limit of 50 kph in the parks and 25kph in the crater.  Wild animals have right of way.

  • Keep to the authorized tracks.

  • It is forbidden to disturb or harass the wildlife in any way; this includes loud Radios, shouting, imitating animal sounds, clapping or hooting. Do not throw objects to attract animals attention.

  • Driving in the parks is permitted between 6am and 7pm.

  • Camping is permitted only at designated sites.

  • Do not litter in the parks as this may harm animal and bird life.

  • Leaving the vehicle in the parks is forbidden except in designated places.  All persons must remain in their vehicle within 200 meters of any game.

  • Nothing may be destroyed or taken from the park; this includes eggs, bones, rocks, etc.

  • No fires allowed, except in designated areas.  These must be supervised at all times and put out correctly.

  • Domestic pets are forbidden in parks.

  • Do not attempt to bribe your driver to exceed the boundaries set by the parks regulations between vehicles and animals.  This may result in your removal from the park and the driver loosing his job.

  • Smoking is forbidden while on game drives to avoid bush fires.

  • Feeding of animals is prohibited as this will disturb their natural habits in the wild.  Never forget that these animals are wild and should be treated with respect.
